A tale of two Freddies

22 10 2008

Looking through my photos just now, I spotted a neat duo that I thought I’d share. Hope you like them :)

Freddie statue Montreux

This first photo is of the statue that stands in tribute to the Queen frontman, who lived his final years in Montreux. The flowers are to celebrate what would have been his 60th birthday on September 2, 2006.

The next photo is outside the Dominion Theatre in London’s West End, where the musical We WIll Rock You has been playing for years.

Views of the Eiffel Tower

22 10 2008

It always strikes me as odd to see all the tourists (regardless of city / sight / phenomenon) all lined up, all taking essentially the same clichéd view of famous landmarks. So on our last trip to Paris, I decided to experiment with some very different angles of La Tour d’Eiffel

As we walked further away from the Tower, I saw another angle to experiment with. I love the retro feel that black & white gives to this photo.

And last, but not least, we got a fabulous view of the Tower late in the afternoon from the Seine.
