Snow in London

2 02 2009

London’s currently enjoying a ‘Russian period’, and we’re enjoying (well, some of us are) the results of a little bit of hijacked Russian winter weather. So just when I thought I’d probably seen the last of ‘my’ snow of the winter, a whole lot has come to visit me :)

These photos are from last night, Sunday 1 February.

Thanks :)
I know it’s a relatively small amount of snow that’s fallen, but it’s so unusual for London to get any at all that the city is incredibly unprepared for it. I don’t think there are any snow ploughs to be had, and only the main and primary roads have been gritted. The cars driving up my street are crunching up the icy snow … not a day to be on a bike!
